Sharks’ Teeth and Golf Balls

Growing up, we went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for our family vacations. My favorite thing to do at the beach was to hunt for sharks’ teeth. I loved finding those little shiny teeth!

The challenge was finding the first one! Dozens and dozens of times, I would bend over to pick one up only to discover it was a broken seashell.

Lets start this week with a BAAM!

I want you to be the first to know

Successful people always have a plan.

They know what they want.

They work out a plan that will get them where they want to go.

Then they are intentional about working their plan.

Plan — Prepare — Expect

It is the foundation for success.

Friendship, partnership or romance? Which do you want?

The second installment of our recent focus on Zig’s favorite topic…marriage. Host Kevin Miller and his wife, Teri, tackle the third question from Show #418, what percentage of a marriage should be friendship, partnership or romance? Then they cover a number of the over 600 questions and comments posted to their live Facebook video.

Today I will

Today I will love the process.

It’s hard not to get caught up in expectations. To be so results-focused we set ourselves up for disappointment.

Yet, if we love the process, savoring the doing of what needs to be done, the results will come.

Will you join me tomorrow?

“Today is a brand new day. And it’s yours!”

Dad always stressed the power of making the most of each and every day we are given.

He never stopped growing every day—and you shouldn’t either. Especially when you’re handed a gift like the event I mentioned yesterday.

Making an introduction…

As you plan your schedule for the week, I want to introduce you to a way you can prepare to win this week!

As Dad often said, it’s not enough to plan to win. You must take the necessary steps to prepare to win.

The only way you’re ever going to turn your plans into reality and create a winning life is by tackling the challenge of personal skill development.

Iron Sharpens Iron

Dad and Jim Rohn had a long-term relationship based on mutual respect and admiration.
They made each other think in the way that iron sharpens iron.
I got to witness this first-hand.

How badly do you want it?

“You enhance your chances for success when you understand that your yearning power is more important than your earning power.” Zig Ziglar
What do you yearn for? Have you written it down? Can you look into the future and see yourself achieving what you are yearning for?

Close Doesn’t Count

Many of you, I'm certain, have heard the old saying that "close doesn't count, except in horseshoes and grenades." In most cases, that little "funny" is right on target because sometimes little things do make big differences. For example, an extra 20 minutes a day can have a profound impact on your future with your company.

Change Yourself, Change Your Life!

It’s an inside job.

If we want our life to change

Our prosperity
Our relationships
Our peace of mind
Our health
Our happiness

If we want all of these things to change, we have to change ourselves first.

The great philosopher Jim Rohn said:

“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.
