Today is Memorial Day in the United States. Today is the day we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives while serving our country in the military.
Respect
Gratitude
Honor
Love
Look around you. Many have paid in blood for the freedom you enjoy.
The sacrifice doesn’t stop with the brave soul who gave their life. Their families have also paid the price.
Moms
Dads
Wives
Husbands
Children
When you see a flag today, stop for a moment.
A flag covered a casket to honor someone so you can enjoy what you have.
Thank a military person today who is willing to stand between you and evil.
Hug a family member of a fallen hero who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Today is not about politics.
Today is about being grateful for what we have.
And showing respect for those who made it possible.

Instead of my usual three things I am grateful for, it is only fitting that today I focus on one thing only. Today I am grateful for the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice and their families who live with that every day. Tears of gratitude.
