Dear Friend,
What is your mission in life? Have you taken time to think about it?
In my experience, most people don’t. They never take the time to think it through. Or, if they do, they don’t commit and declare their mission. After all, what if you pick the wrong one? Or it changes? Or no one else supports it?
These are all reasonable things to think about until you think about the consequences of not declaring your mission. Like Dad said, "If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time!"
The good news is your mission in life can change and grow as you change and grow. I have been through a couple. My current mission in life is this:
"To help you become significant by equipping you to help others become significant."
I will be honest with you – every time I share my own mission with others, I gulp. It’s a big one, and I wonder if others will think to themselves, "Who does he think he is?" Yet, I still say it and share it. It keeps me focused. It gives me fuel. And it helps me "bring it", even when I don’t feel like "bringing it." That is what a mission should do.
