What business is your company in?
I would like for you to consider being in the True Performance business.
A number of years ago, the Ziglar team, along with Dad’s help, came up with this definition for True Performance:
“True Performance is the ideal accomplishment of an idea, goal, or objective that benefits everyone involved.”
Note: Our team came up with the definition and I gave it to Dad – and then he quickly added the last four words!
I think this sums up the challenge we face in the world today – everybody wants their own personal idea, goal, or objective to be accomplished, and few take into consideration the last four words.
True Performance is when everyone wins.
The customer
The salesperson
The staff members
The owner
The shareholders
The family members of everyone above
The community
If everyone wins, but the river running through the community is poisoned, that is NOT True Performance.
