This Christmas season I am very grateful for my family.
Which reminds me -- we don't have to wait until Christmas, or a birthday, or any other special occasion for that matter, to let our families know how much they mean to us.
Some lessons I learned from Dad:
Dad always hugged Mom first when he came home.
Dad called me, my sisters, and Mom going to and coming home from the airport each time he traveled.
Dad held Mom's hand and opened doors for her every chance he got.
He wrote us all notes, especially on books or articles he thought we might like to read.
He would admire Mom from a distance and make comments to me and my sisters about his love for her.
The list goes on and on.
Take a minute today and call a family member and tell them how much they mean to you. You will never regret letting those you love know how much you love them.
