In this show we played the classic and foundational clip from Zig, but gave it a twist. Special guest Dan Miller asked the question, "Is there ever a time to stop pumping?  Is it ever okay to pull the plug and do something else or does persistence always pay off?"

We posted this question on the Ziglar Facebook Fan Page (which is quickly nearing 3 million likes!) and received some great comments, such as:

  • Cassandra Perkins I don't know if there is ever a time to stop pumping, but I do know it's never to early to start pumping. Looking forward to the interview!

  • Jacob Salem Ministries I agree with Billy. Persistence is great, but not the complete answer. Having the proper goal, and the right leadership is truly key. For me, the greatest way to move forward and get ahead is to learn from others mistakes. I try to model those who have gone before me. I stay persistence in regard to work, but not necessarily in regard to method.

  • Billy Cox Motivation No. Persistence is never the complete answer. It is key if if you are headed in the right direction. However too many people re runing east looking for the sunset. And...they confuse stubbornness with persistence.,You have to learn to recognize if you are headed in the right direction. If not turn around. Or as we call it in Texas we call it "Dismount a dead horse".

Winston Churchill is famous for his quote, "Never, ever, ever, ever, every ever give up." And Ted Turner said, "You can never quit. Winners never quit, and quitters never win."

However, Dan led us through some examples and commentary regarding when it in fact is time to stop priming! Listen now to Zig, and our discussion:
